Application Form: Applications for all courses are invited online at www.onlinetesthry.gov.in (typically in April/May). Candidates must upload a coloured photograph and specimen signature with the online form.
Verification of Application: A candidate applying for Diploma Engg. courses selects a Designated Center (a Govt. or Govt. Aided Polytechnic) while filling the online form, then visits that centre with original/attested documents (qualifying exam mark sheet, reserved category proof if any, date of birth proof, application fee deposit proof) for verification. The Designated Center issues a system-generated Verification Report signed by the verification team and the candidate.
Lateral Entry Test (DET-L): Conducted by HSTES as an online (computer-based) exam.
Counselling and Reporting: Candidates register online at www.techadmissionshry.gov.in for choice filling and seat allotment, after depositing the counselling fee (Rs. 500 for all categories) via e-challan. After each counselling round, allotted candidates report to the allotted institute with all requisite documents as per the schedule in their provisional seat allotment letter, and collect a Provisional Admission Slip signed by the institute's admission coordinator.
Important Instructions: Read the Diploma Prospectus carefully before applying. Ensure name, parents' names, date of birth and marks in the application exactly match the qualifying certificate. Apply only from home or a Govt./Govt. Aided Polytechnic, not from unauthorised cyber cafes, and never share your password. To upgrade an allotted seat, participate in a subsequent counselling round (doing so automatically cancels the earlier allotment if a new one is received).
Welfare & Motivational Schemes: 25% horizontal reservation for girl students in all technical institutions/polytechnics of Haryana; no tuition fee for girls in Govt./Govt.
